REVAMP OF ENDEAVOUR HILLS CHILDREN’S CENTRE

The Andrews Labor Government will help redevelop the Chalcot Lodge Children’s Centre in Endeavour Hills through a $375,000 Growing Suburbs Fund (GSF) grant.

Member for Dandenong, Gabrielle Williams, today announced the grant to transform the existing centre to include a new multipurpose community room, a yard and kitchen, as well as a flexible consulting room.

Redevelopment works will refresh the building and make the facility fit-for-purpose, providing suitable spaces for community services.

The project will increase the provision of much needed Maternal and Child Health allied programs, parents’ groups and other community programs.

Funding is part of the 2017-19 GSF round, which is supporting seven projects across the City of Casey through a total of $7.7 million.

The GSF supports investment in critical local infrastructure in Melbourne’s diverse and growing interface councils.

The Andrews Labor Government will contribute $48.1 million toward 40 projects as a part of the 2017-19 GSF.
