NEW SCHOOL NAMES REVEALED AHEAD OF 2022 LAUNCHES

The names of nine new 2022 Victorian government schools have been unveiled as more than 1 million students across the state returned to schools for the start of term 3.

Member for Dandenong Gabrielle Williams and Member for Narre Warren North Luke Donnellan today announced the final name for a new specialist school to open in 2022.

The names were chosen in collaboration with the community and Geographic Names Victoria. Criteria included elements of public interest, relevance to the local area, and the consideration of local Indigenous languages.

The new school name is Endeavour Hills Specialist School.

Since 2015, the Labor Government has invested more than $10.9 billion in building new schools and upgrading existing campuses, creating about 13,500 jobs in construction and associated industries. The Labor Government ahead of schedule to open 100 new schools by 2026, with 48 new schools opening between 2019 and 2022.
