DANDENONG CLUBS SCORE SPORT GRANTS

Minister for Community Sport, Ros Spence today announced that grassroots sport clubs and organisations in Dandenong were set to bolster their coaching skills, administration expertise, or score new sports equipment thanks to a share in more than $900,000 from the Victorian Government.

This year, local families have done an incredible job in supporting students to learn from home. As kids get back into the classroom, we want to make sure they have the fantastic new learning spaces they deserve.

SOLAR BATTERY REBATES

Today 1,000 new household solar battery rebates were released to Victorians, as part of the Andrews Labor Government’s record breaking household energy efficiency investment package. $191 million will be provided from the Victorian Budget 2020/21 to expand the Solar Homes program right across Victoria.

HELPING VICTORIANS PAY THEIR POWER BILLS

Spending more time at home this year has meant bigger power bills for many households. To reduce this burden, the Andrews Labor Government will invest $797 million to help Victorians cover the cost of their power bills and make homes more energy efficient.

SAFELY CONNECTING MULTICULTURAL SENIORS IN DANDENONG

The Victorian Government’s CALD Communities Taskforce is supporting Victoria’s multicultural seniors in Dandenong to stay connected during the coronavirus pandemic. Minister for Multicultural Affairs has announced that $2.1 million will be made available to multicultural seniors’ groups through the Coronavirus Support for Multicultural Seniors program.

DANDENONG COMMUNITY GROUPS GO DIGITAL

The Victorian Government is helping 148 community organisations across Victoria to get creative and move their events online through the Multicultural Festivals and Events program.
