The Andrews Labor Government is standing up for Dandenong patients who are being hit hard by Canberra\u2019s cuts to Victoria\u2019s hospitals.<\/p>\n
Canberra has clawed back $305 million from Victoria\u2019s hospitals \u2013 cuts that are hurting patients, nurses and doctors across the state.<\/p>\n
Locally, Canberra\u2019s $39,612,817 cut to Monash Health will hit locals hard. It\u2019s the equivalent of 77,022 dialysis sessions, 35,671 chemotherapy treatments or 2,396 hip replacements.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s why the Labor Government has launched a new campaign for a fair share of funding from the Commonwealth \u2013 no matter who wins next month\u2019s Federal Election.<\/p>\n
The Our Fair Share<\/em> campaign is running across TV, radio, print and online.<\/p>\n Canberra is also proposing a dud national funding deal that would see public schools get less funding than private schools, with government schools short-changed $500 million in funding every single year.<\/p>\n That\u2019s the equivalent of 1,250 full-time teachers that can\u2019t be funded simply because Canberra want to boost the bottom line.<\/p>\n The Labor Government has invested more in Victoria\u2019s schools and hospitals than any government in Victoria\u2019s history \u2013 to ensure every child has the best education and every Victorian has access to world-class healthcare.<\/p>\n As the Federal Election gets closer, now is the time for Victoria to fight for its fair share.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Andrews Labor Government is standing up for Dandenong patients who are being hit hard by Canberra\u2019s cuts to Victoria\u2019s hospitals.
