For years Community Abundance has supported thousands of vulnerable Victorians with a range of services that include free meals, counselling programs and health promotion programs, while helping those effected by trauma, family violence and malnutrition get back on their feet.<\/p>\n
Labor\u2019s investment will make sure they are well-equipped to continue to help local families and members of our community \u2013 ensuring every Victorian gets the support they need when they need it.<\/p>\n
It builds on the massive investments in community support already delivered by the Labor Government, ensuring neighbourhoods have accessible wellbeing and support services close to home.<\/p>\n
In sharp contrast, when it comes to delivering the vital support that people in our community rely on, the Liberals can\u2019t be trusted. Their policy of cuts and closures would leave locals behind.<\/p>\n
Last time Matthew Guy\u2019s Liberals were in power they cut $1 billion from health, approved cutting 700 full-time equivalent jobs from the Department of Health and Human Services, while defunding 29 grassroots community mental health providers \u2013 severely impacting the most vulnerable Victorians.<\/p>\n
Only a re-elected Labor Government will back the community organisations that keep our community strong \u2013 because only Labor will do what matters.<\/p>\n
