GREAT SPECIAL SCHOOLS FOR DANDENONG FAMILIES

Hundreds of students with disabilities across Dandenong and the south east of Melbourne will benefit from a revitalised special school, thanks to a funding injection by the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Dandenong, Gabrielle Williams, today announced that Emerson School in Dandenong will share in planning funding to undergo a masterplan for future upgrades, giving students across Dandenong the best classrooms and buildings so they can have the very best education. This investment is in addition to funding for the planning of a new Endeavour Hills Special School that will provide more students the education opportunities they deserve.

Victoria’s special schools provide an important option for families of children with disabilities – offering specialised education programs and support to ensure every student, wherever they go to school, gets the individual attention they deserve.

The Victorian School Building Authority will now start working with schools to determine the scope of their upgrades and how they can best be delivered.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education and every community has access to a great local school.
